Flickr Faves

Brief
There are many ways to find content on flickr, some more rewarding than others. Choosing a photographer you like and having a look at their chosen “faves” is a trusted route for many seasoned flickr users. This project was about providing a minimal interface (more photos, less words) for browsing any flickr users’ favourites.

The design stemmed from wanting to create the feeling of viewing a large pile of prints on a table, using the laptop (optimised for full screen) as the table top. Photos needed to adapt to the space and adhere to the following rule… Whenever the mouse is over a photo, that photo should always be displayed fully with no overlaying content on top.

The user should be able to easily navigate from one flickr member to another, loading up to 100 faves at a click, being able to back track if they need to.
