Lymon Willis
Brief
To provide a multi-categorised blog that will facilitate the members of the Lymon Willis band to publish news, music, videos, photos and details of upcoming gigs. The design should reflect the music which is quite dark, blues based dusty sounds with sinister undertones.
Implementation
The entire site was designed and implemented within 2 days by using Wordpress, and adapting an existing theme. The design concept was based upon the look and feel of traditional black and white film photography, which members of the band have an interest in.
Accounts were set up with the Lymon Willis name at various social networking sites including Facebook, Myspace Music, Twitter, flickr, Youtube, Bandcamp and Vimeo. Some of these accounts were linked together to enable one stop publishing of updates for band members. A subscription plug in was used to keep band members updated of all site activity via email. The band use Wordpress’ private post facility to share updates, mp3s and discussion behind the scenes.
Lymonwillis.com uses Google Analytics, a summary of the data is presented to band members from within the Wordpress admin pages.
